This position is coded as “Hybrid” which means occasional remote work is available, however, this role will be expected to work in our Coeur d'Alene, Idaho office 3/days/week

Job Summary

The Global IT Director has direct and indirect worldwide responsibilities for the integration, deployment, support and security of the networks, systems and data of Advanced Input Systems locations in the U.S. and Taiwan. This position is also responsible for supporting Advanced Input’s parent, AIS Global, in driving organizational synergies, setting security and control standards, assisting in merger and acquisition activities, and evaluating the risks and IT roadmaps of its multi-national businesses. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Advanced Input Systems Global Information Services
  • Manage and develop local IT staff
  • Maintain integrity and continual operation of all key systems and IT network
  • Maintain security and privacy of systems, communication lines, and equipment
  • Deliver appropriate remote and on-site technology solutions
  • Pursue innovative ideas, new products and tools
  • Develop, implement and maintain adequate cybersecurity measures
  • Maintain adequate disaster recovery plan
  • Develop and document policies and procedures aligned with AIS Global standards
  • Develop and define system efficiencies through optimization of IS resources that maximize AIS Global’s investment and bring improvements to the business process
  • Negotiate Service Agreements and manage service providers
  • Understand and live by AIS Global’s ethics and business conduct policies

AIS Global Support

  • Assists in evaluating business unit IT risks and roadmaps
  • Provide acquisition due diligence support and lead new acquisition IT integration
  • Sets and drives implementation and ensures compliance with company standards for IT systems, controls, processes and cybersecurity
  • Help develop and gain business unit and IT leaders approval for global vision to migrate from current state to best practices future state, as assigned
  • Review business unit proposals for consistency with company strategy and goals


  • 6+ years of experience managing large customer-based applications and business processes, specifically with ERP system expertise
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating, selecting, implementing and maintaining networks and tools in a multinational, remote-working environment
  • Team management experience
  • Experience defining and executing complex IT strategies on a distributed basis
  • Strong project management skills


  • Must possess the sophistication, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills to make things happen through the power of influence, often in the absence of direct authority
  • Exceptional communication skills essential in a multi-cultural environment with an ability to explain complex technical environments to a broad audience
  • Experience of managing multiple IT disciplines i.e. software development, technical support, systems architecture in a multi-cultural environment
  • A broad understanding of computer systems and networks, applications and operating systems
  • Experience in system and software security requirements when working with government agencies and or regulations.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

Minimum BS with 5-10 years of relevant experience in information technology and leadership.  Manufacturing experience preferred.
